Moqups

Moqups is a web app that puts wireframes, mockups, diagrams, interactive prototypes and an online whiteboard in one project, so a team can go from brainstorm to user flow to screen layout without switching tools. It runs entirely in the browser and suits product teams that need lo-fi to hi-fi UI mockups alongside flowcharts, sitemaps, org charts, UML and ER diagrams.

Wireframes, diagrams and prototypes

The editor offers drag-and-drop stencils, icon sets, synced components and a template library for websites, mobile apps and dashboards. Screens can be linked with interactions to make clickable prototypes for stakeholder reviews, and teams edit and comment together in real time. A browser extension imports live webpages, page areas or AI-generated layouts as editable designs, either at full fidelity or converted to a grayscale wireframe, and can extract a site's colours and typography into a design brief to feed an AI prompt.

AI through MCP

Moqups' AI story is its MCP server, released in October 2026. Instead of a built-in model, it lets the assistant you already use, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, read and write your Moqups projects: generate wireframes from whiteboard notes, propose layout variations, turn a wireframe into a branded hi-fi design or a mobile version, wire screens into a clickable prototype, build flowcharts and ERDs from notes and flag gaps, export diagrams to Mermaid, cluster sticky notes, or produce front-end code from a design. Changes appear live in the project for the team to refine.

Pricing

A free plan allows one seat, two projects and 400 objects. Paid plans add unlimited projects and a monthly MCP call allowance per seat: Starter for individuals (about $9 a month billed annually, 500 calls), Business for teams with roles, live collaboration, SSO and Jira and Confluence integration (2,000 calls per seat), and Unlimited with unlimited seats, SAML SSO and SCIM (10,000 calls per seat). The MCP server is available on all paid plans.
