AirJelly is a desktop agent built around a different premise from the chat window: instead of waiting for a prompt, it observes what is happening on screen, keeps a running memory of it, and proposes or completes work unasked. The company describes it as a context-aware proactive agent.

What it actually does

• Turns conversation into tasks — a review confirmed in a chat thread becomes a task with a due time and the originating conversation attached.
• Collapses scattered context — fourteen open tabs across papers, docs and notes become a single summary, including material you saved earlier and forgot.
• Prepares you ahead of time — an interview on the calendar produces a brief with background, recent work and talking points before the meeting starts.
• Builds a living timeline — every task, meeting and message stays searchable, so the record of your work is queryable rather than scattered across apps.
• Feeds coding agents — AirJelly gathers scattered context so tools such as Codex and Claude Code can act with the full picture.

Privacy model

AirJelly runs locally on your machine and does not upload your activity to the cloud, which is the trade that makes continuous screen observation tolerable for people handling client or company data. That local-first design is the product's central claim and the main reason to pick it over a cloud notetaker.

Availability

A free download for Apple Silicon Macs and Windows x64 PCs, with Linux support stated as coming. The company runs a Discord community and a help centre, and launched publicly on Product Hunt in 2026.
