Description
MagiCrew is a multi-agent workspace built on a premise most AI assistants ignore: enterprise work is not a chat transcript, it is a deliverable. Its agents return finished PowerPoint decks, dashboards, analytical reports and Excel files rather than plain text a human then has to reformat.
The organising metaphor is hiring. A Digital Employee Marketplace holds reusable specialist agents — Finance, Legal, Customer Operations, Project Management, Market Intelligence and others — each wrapping internal systems and business expertise so it can be built once and deployed company-wide. That is the answer to a real problem: when everyone uses AI separately, none of the resulting knowledge accumulates, and it walks out of the door when a person leaves.
Orchestration and control
An orchestrator agent dispatches specialists to work in parallel rather than running one long serial conversation. Around that sit the controls an IT department will ask about before approving anything: three-tier budget limits by department, user and task; mandatory human approval for high-risk actions; sandbox isolation so data stays inside your boundary; and cost attribution that tracks spend per department, user and task. The gap between a demo and a deployable platform is usually exactly these features.
A Skill Creator lets you define new capabilities through conversation, and the platform is compatible with the Anthropic and OpenClaw Skills ecosystems, so existing SKILL.md assets work without rewriting.
Licence and hosting
The underlying platform is developed in the open at github.com/dtyq/magic (around 5,000 stars) under the Magic Open Source License — Apache 2.0 with additional restrictions, so read it before assuming a standard permissive grant. You can self-host it, or use the hosted service: magicrew.ai internationally and magic.cn in China.
