Anyone who uses more than one chat assistant has the same problem: the answer you need is in a conversation from three weeks ago, and you cannot remember which product it was in. Native chat histories are a flat reverse-chronological list with weak search and no way to look across providers. AI Toolbox — formerly ChatGPT Toolbox — is a Chrome extension that fixes that from inside the pages you already use.

It installs into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok and adds the organisational layer each of them lacks. Conversations go into folders and subfolders. Full-text search runs across every platform at once, so one query covers all four histories rather than one. Smart tags auto-categorise threads, individual messages can be bookmarked, and a shared prompt library keeps reusable prompts out of a scratch document. Context mentions let you reference a past conversation from a new one, and conversation analytics report on your own usage.

Export is the other half, and it matters if you ever need your history out of a vendor's hands: conversations bulk-export to TXT, JSON, PDF or a ZIP archive.

Pricing is per module, with a free tier that needs no credit card. Paid options are $9.99 per month, $59 per year or a $99 one-time lifetime licence for a single module; All Access Lifetime is $199 and covers all four modules plus platforms added later at no extra cost. Teams is $12 per seat per year, billed annually, with a two-seat minimum.

Distributed through the Chrome Web Store; the vendor reports more than 40,000 users. Version 3.0 launched on Product Hunt on 31 August 2026.
