Flowstep

Flowstep is an AI design tool that generates editable UI screens on an infinite canvas from a text prompt. Instead of a single mock-up, it can produce a whole multi-screen flow in one request, naming each screen from its content as it builds. It is aimed at product designers who want a fast first draft, and at engineers and founders without design skills who need screens to react to before writing code.

How it works

You describe a screen, or attach a PRD, a screenshot or your product's URL as a reference, and Flowstep designs to match. Results can be refined by chatting, with one-click actions such as trying a different layout or style, creating empty, error or mobile states, or generating the next screen, or by selecting an element and editing it directly. A file's theme holds colours, rounding and fonts, and plain-markdown file instructions carry product rules and tone into every generation. Screens can be linked into a clickable prototype and shared with a view-only link that needs no account, and teams can edit together with live cursors.

Export, Figma and coding agents

Everything on the canvas is backed by code. Frames copy into Figma with a keyboard shortcut and Figma frames can be imported as editable screens, with no plugin. Designs export as PNG or JPG, or as code, where each screen becomes its own React component with navigation wired in. Flowstep also runs as an MCP server for Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, Codex and Claude Desktop, so a coding agent can generate and edit screens and keep file instructions in sync without leaving the editor. An October 2026 agent update builds screens while it is still planning the rest and retries automatically when its own check finds a change did not work.

Pricing

Usage is counted in messages, one per prompt. The free plan has limited messages, multi-screen generations and projects. Starter is $15 a month for individuals with 80 messages, unlimited projects, exports and Figma copies, with larger message tiers available and up to 20% off annually; Enterprise is custom.
