Description

What it is

Figma AI is not a separate app. It is the set of AI features inside Figma's products, including Figma Design, Figma Make, FigJam and Figma Slides; which features are available varies by product. All of them draw on one pool of AI credits that comes with each seat. Figma says the features run on off-the-shelf foundation models and its own fine-tuned models, and that admins control whether team content may be used for AI training.

Key features
  • Figma agent: generates and remixes design directions, creates diagrams, edits images, searches your files and gives design feedback. You can also describe a workflow and have the agent build a generative plugin, which can then be shared across the organization.
  • Figma Make: turns a prompt, or an existing Figma design, into a working prototype or web app. You can attach components and reference files, plan before generating, connect Supabase for authentication and data, and publish the result to a URL. A beta lets Make work on your own codebase and open pull requests.
  • Image and visual tools: background removal, image expansion, object isolation and resolution boost. Weave tools are pre-built workflows from Figma Weave that generate and edit images and vectors on the canvas. Shaders (beta) let you describe a custom shader effect or fill.
  • Productivity and text tools: rename layers, add prototype interactions, replace content and adjust tone. Visual search finds the components and assets you are looking for. FigJam can summarize, generate and sort board content, and Slides can draft presenter notes or build an outline from a FigJam board.
  • Agent connectivity: the Figma MCP server lets outside agents read design context and write to Figma files. "Code to canvas" turns live UI back into editable layers. MCP limits depend on the plan, from 20 tool calls a month on Starter to 600 a day on Enterprise.
Who it's for

Product teams already working in Figma: designers who want routine work done faster, PMs and engineers who want to prototype without writing code first, and teams that plug Figma into AI coding agents. Organization and Enterprise customers can also add Figma's AI copyright protection addendum to their contract at no extra cost.

Pricing

As listed on Figma's pricing page in October 2026 (USD per seat per month):

  • Starter: free. 150 AI credits a day, up to 500 a month.
  • Professional: Full seat $16 (annual billing; monthly billing is also offered) with 3,000 credits a month. Dev seat $12 and Collab seat $3, each with 500 credits.
  • Organization (billed annually): Full seat $55 with 3,500 credits. Dev $25 and Collab $5, each with 500 credits.
  • Enterprise (billed annually): Full seat $90 with 4,250 credits. Dev $35 and Collab $5, each with 500 credits.

Credits are shared across all AI features, and the number a request uses varies. Extra credits can be bought for the whole team, either pay-as-you-go or by subscription. Enterprise adds budgets per team and an API for credit usage.
