Dove

Dove is an AI email client built by Cartasec, the team behind Canary Mail. It is aimed at people whose real problem is not writing email but deciding which of several hundred messages actually deserves a reply, and it works across Gmail, Outlook, Office 365, Yahoo and generic IMAP accounts at once.

The centre of the app is Today, a morning briefing that sorts everything that arrived into three buckets — Needs You, FYI and Noise — so the triage decision is made before you open the inbox. Daily Tasks lifts the to-dos back out of those threads into a single list, and a Done action clears finished mail out of the active view rather than leaving it to accumulate. Notifications follow the same logic and only fire for messages Dove judges urgent.

Wingman is the reading half: it surfaces the context scattered across earlier threads so you see the full picture before replying, while Ask Dove answers questions about what is in your mail and drafts responses. AI Actions are automation rules written in plain English — the vendor's own example is "Archive newsletters 1 day after I read them" — and Smart Labels plus a Memory feature that learns your habits shape how mail is filed over time. Briefs hands an entire thread to a colleague with its context attached in one tap.

Security is treated as a first-class feature rather than a footnote: incoming mail is scanned, checked for phishing signals and domain verification, and scored as Safe, Suspicious or Dangerous.
