Description
What it is
Superhuman Mail (formerly just "Superhuman") is a fast, keyboard-driven email app with AI built into everyday inbox actions. It does not replace your mailbox: it connects to existing Gmail and Outlook accounts, and you can add several accounts and handle them in one place. Grammarly acquired Superhuman in 2025. In October 2025 Grammarly's parent company renamed itself Superhuman, and the email app became Superhuman Mail. It now sits in the Superhuman suite next to Grammarly, Docs (an AI workspace) and the Go assistant. This listing covers the email app, not the whole suite.
AI features
- Auto Labels and Auto Archive. Incoming mail is sorted into marketing, cold pitches, social updates and similar groups, and the clutter can be archived automatically. You can create your own labels with short prompts such as "job applications".
- Split Inbox. Splits the inbox into tabs for your team, VIPs or particular tools, so related emails can be handled together.
- Write with AI. Turns a few phrases into a full email and imitates the voice and tone of emails you have already sent. On mobile, Write with Voice turns dictation into a draft.
- Instant Reply and Auto Drafts. Draft replies are prepared before you open a thread.
- Auto Reminders. If a sent email gets no answer, Superhuman reminds you to follow up and drafts the follow-up.
- Auto Summarize. Shows a one-line summary above each conversation and updates it as new messages arrive.
- Ask AI. Answers questions like "where's the offsite?" by searching across your inbox, calendar and the web.
- Instant Event. Creates a calendar event from an email and suggests a time when everyone is free.
There is also a Superhuman Mail MCP server for connecting the inbox to AI assistants.
Other features
Snippets (reusable text, shareable with a team), Send Later, Snooze, read statuses, a built-in calendar, shared conversations and team comments, and HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive integrations. Apps are available for Mac, Windows, Chrome, iOS and Android. Superhuman says it is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and that its contracts bar its AI providers from training on customer data.
Who it's for
People who handle a lot of email, such as founders, executives and sales teams, plus organisations that want shared inbox workflows on top of Gmail or Microsoft 365. The company says users save four or more hours a week.
Pricing
Superhuman Mail is paid only. The suite's Free and Pro plans do not include Mail. As listed on superhuman.com in October 2026:
- Starter: $25 per member per month, billed annually. Includes the core AI features, team collaboration and calendar.
- Business: $33 per member per month billed annually, or $40 billed monthly. Adds Auto Drafts, Ask AI, custom AI Auto Labels, the Mail MCP server, CRM integrations, and Grammarly, Docs and Go from the suite.
- Enterprise: custom pricing, with SSO, team analytics and advanced security controls.
