CallMeMCP

CallMeMCP (the /call-me app) gives a long-running AI agent a way to reach you away from the keyboard. When the agent is blocked or finished, it places a call to the /call-me app on your phone, reads its question aloud, and receives your spoken reply as a plain-text transcript, so the task can continue while you are cooking, driving or out for a walk.

Setup is three steps with no account or API key: install the /call-me app (iPhone on iOS 17 or later, Android 8 or later), which assigns a private ten-digit number; add the remote MCP server at https://callmemcp.com/mcp to your client (Claude Code has a one-line claude mcp add --transport http command, and Codex, Cursor, ChatGPT, claude.ai, Gemini CLI, Grok, opencode and Cline work as custom connectors); then tell the agent your number. A Claude Code plugin and a small command-line tool are also available, with per-client instructions on GitHub.

The number is not a carrier line: calls travel over the internet inside the app, ring on the iPhone's native call screen or full screen on Android, and can be answered from AirPods. Each agent session gets its own named thread, where the agent can also text progress and you can reply by typing after a missed call. A single call can read out about 2,000 characters. Calls are not recorded; only the text transcript is kept, and you can delete your number and its data in the app. It is a paid subscription started in the app, priced by the App Store or Google Play.
