Summary

Personal intelligence agent that tracks the topics you name across news, filings, forums and podcasts, folds duplicate coverage into one card, and briefs you by feed, push, email, RSS or audio.

Description

Zetik is a monitoring agent for people who want to follow a handful of subjects properly rather than scroll a general news feed. You describe what matters in a sentence — a company, a person, a rumour, a niche technology — and Zetik watches news, webcasts, forums and filings for it, then briefs you when something actually happens.

What makes it different
  • Signal folding — when forty outlets run the same story, Zetik collapses them into a single card and shows the count. Briefings on the site are labelled with things like "folded from 38 sources" for a Federal Reserve decision and "folded from 47 sources" for an Apple event, so you see the story once with its provenance intact.
  • Editable memory — the model of your preferences is visible rather than hidden. Entries such as "Tracks solid-state batteries" can be read, edited or deleted, and you can steer it in plain language ("less celebrity coverage").
  • Discovery — beyond your tracked topics, it surfaces adjacent stories and connections you did not ask for by name.
Delivery

Briefings arrive however you want to read them: in the app feed, as push notifications, as an email newsletter, over RSS, or as audio summaries including podcast highlights. That last option makes it usable as a commute briefing rather than another app to open.

Platforms and pricing

Native apps on iOS and Android plus a web feed. The app is free to download; Apple's listing shows in-app purchases for Zetik Plus at $14.99/month or $119.99/year, a $9.99/month Premium tier, and a one-off Zetik Pro at $149.99. Published by Newsbang, Inc.

Worth knowing

Zetik summarises third-party reporting, so it inherits whatever the underlying outlets get wrong. Treat the folded cards as a pointer to primary sources — which it cites — rather than as the reporting itself.
