Description
What it is
SlidesAI turns a topic, notes, pasted text or an uploaded document into a structured slide deck. It works inside the tools people already use: it runs as an add-on in Google Slides and PowerPoint, as an app in ChatGPT, and as a standalone web app. The output is a native Google Slides or PPTX file you keep editing, not a deck locked inside a separate editor. The product is made by Zesterv LLC, based in Sharjah, UAE.
How it works
- Choose a starting point. Start from just a topic (the AI writes the content), rough notes, a full draft, or source material to summarise, including PDFs and other documents on paid plans.
- Set the options. Pick slide count, language, tone and a theme, or use your own colours, fonts and logo for branded decks.
- Generate and refine. SlidesAI builds the slides in your Google Slides or PowerPoint file. From the add-on sidebar you can add slides, "remix" a slide into a different layout, and shorten or lengthen text.
Other features include automatic animations on generation, editable AI diagrams, flowcharts and timelines, real-time collaboration, and writing in one language while presenting in another. The site also offers free utilities such as PDF-to-PPT conversion and PowerPoint compression.
Who it's for
The pricing tiers are aimed at students, teachers and professionals who already work in Google Slides or PowerPoint and want a quick first draft without switching tools. It is less suited to users who want a fully designed, highly visual deck. Several recent reviews on the Google Workspace Marketplace complain about slow generation and weak editing of existing decks, so test it on the free plan first. The Marketplace listing shows more than 15 million installs.
