Description
What it is
Sai is a computer-use agent from Simular, a company founded by former DeepMind researchers that also publishes the open-source Agent S framework. You describe a task in plain English and Sai carries it out on a real computer: it looks at the screen, clicks and types through browsers and desktop applications, and reports back. It can run on a private cloud virtual machine that Simular hosts (Windows or Linux), so work continues after you close your laptop, or on your own Mac or Windows machine ("bring your own device"). Simular pitches it as a "robosecretary" for repetitive screen work rather than another chatbot.
Key features
- Whole-desktop automation: works across desktop apps, web browsers, file systems and terminals, so it can handle software that has no API.
- Teach once, rerun on a schedule: recurring tasks are replayed by a neurosymbolic layer that, according to Simular, gets faster and cheaper with each run and adapts when the UI changes.
- Persistent cloud computer: the VM keeps your setup, logins and preferences between sessions, and you can watch it work live.
- Approvals and remote steering: Sai asks before sign-ins and other sensitive steps, and can notify you over iMessage, SMS or Telegram when it needs input.
- Drafts and Library: documents Sai writes open as editable rich-text drafts inside the chat and are kept in a Drafts tab.
- Skills: extend Sai with skills that can be shared across a team.
- Sai API: developers can send tasks from their own code over REST, Python and TypeScript SDKs, or from Claude Code, Codex and Cursor over MCP, with the computer and model included.
Who it's for
Business users, founders, researchers and teams who lose hours to recurring computer chores such as lead sourcing, spreadsheet updates, document handling, scheduling and periodic reports, especially when the work spans tools that do not integrate. No coding is required; the API serves developers and agent builders who want a hosted computer-use agent instead of running their own VMs and agent loop.
Pricing
Prices as listed on sai.work in October 2026:
- Explore: free, with a daily credit allowance and limited access to a cloud Windows computer.

- Sai Unlimited: $500/month for unlimited AI usage within fair-use guidelines and an always-on cloud computer, for one workspace.
