Description

Creem is a merchant-of-record payments platform aimed at people shipping AI products and other digital goods, where the work that follows "it's built" — tax registration, invoicing, subscription logic, payouts, affiliate payments — routinely costs more time than the product did.

What merchant of record changes

Creem becomes the legal seller on every transaction rather than a processor sitting behind your own entity. Sales tax and VAT calculation, collection, filing and remittance move to Creem, along with invoice generation, fraud screening and chargeback liability. For a small team selling into 190+ countries, that removes the part of international selling that otherwise needs an accountant per jurisdiction.

Pricing

3.9% + 40¢ per successful transaction, with no monthly fee, setup fee or minimum. The rate is the same for one-time purchases and for subscriptions, and does not vary by card type or country.

Billing models

Beyond flat one-off and recurring charges, Creem supports credit wallets, usage-based pricing and custom meters — the metering shapes AI products tend to need when cost scales with tokens or generations rather than with seats.

The agent-facing surface

Creem ships an MCP server alongside its REST API and CLI, so an agent running in Claude Code or Cursor can create products, generate checkout links and inspect transactions without a human opening the dashboard. That is the piece that separates it from a general-purpose payments provider, and the reason it shows up in an AI directory.

Also included: affiliate programmes and revenue splits with configurable commissions, and short links carrying QR codes and conversion tracking.

Creem is built by Armitage Labs OÜ, and lists CryptoSwift, Uneed, TailAdmin and daisyUI among its customers.
