Construction estimating is usually three disconnected tools and two rounds of re-typing: measure the drawings in a takeoff program, rebuild the quantities as line items in a spreadsheet, then key the approved figures into accounting software. CostLogic collapses that into one browser-based workflow where each stage feeds the next.

How it works

Upload the plan PDFs and CostLogic names them and reads the scale off the title block automatically, so you are not calibrating each sheet by hand. Measure with linear, area, count and angle tools, or run Auto Room to have the software detect and quantify spaces straight from the drawing. Those measurements drop into the estimate as line items, where markup, waste, tax and deposits are applied. An approved estimate becomes an invoice in one click, goes out as a branded PDF, and its payment status is tracked in the same place — with exports that line up with QuickBooks.

Onyx, the built-in assistant

Onyx is the AI layer rather than the whole product, which is the right way round for this kind of tool. It answers questions about a job, drafts a complete estimate, and will edit takeoff layers on request — so the measurement work stays reviewable and human-checked while the tedious assembly is automated.

Who it is for

Contractors and estimators who currently bounce between PlanSwift, Togal.AI or Easy Takeoffs and a spreadsheet. It runs in the browser on Mac and PC with nothing to install, which matters for a trade where the person pricing the job is often not the person with the workstation.
