Description
Yap is private voice dictation for Apple Silicon Macs and Windows PCs. Hold a shortcut, speak, and release: Yap turns your speech into clean, punctuated text and types it where your cursor is, in email, documents, chat, browsers, terminals and coding agents.
Speech recognition (NVIDIA Parakeet) runs on your computer, so your audio is never uploaded, and it works offline after a one-time model download. It understands 25 European languages and detects the language of each recording, adds punctuation, removes filler words, and keeps a searchable history on your device.
Requires macOS 13 or later on Apple Silicon, or Windows 10 (2004+) or 11 (x64 and Arm64). A 14-day free trial, then USD 6.90 a month or USD 69 a year; one subscription covers Mac and Windows.
