Qoder

Qoder is Alibaba's entry into agentic development, and it is structured differently from the single-assistant IDEs it competes with. Work is organised into Quests: you describe an outcome, and a lead agent decomposes it into tasks and dispatches specialist experts — a full-stack engineer to write the code, a QA agent to verify the build, a UI operator to drive a browser and check the result. An Experts Canvas shows the whole tree live, so you can see which branch is running, which is done, and where a task stalled.

The other half of the product is repository comprehension. Repo Wiki builds structured documentation of an existing codebase so the agents start from an architectural picture rather than from whatever files a search happened to surface, and Knowledge Cards persist project conventions across sessions. On a large unfamiliar codebase this is the difference between an agent that follows your patterns and one that reinvents them.

Qoder ships as a desktop application with an integrated editor, terminal and browser tab, plus a JetBrains plugin, a CLI, cloud agents, and mobile and web access for checking on long-running work. A built-in marketplace covers extensions.

Pricing is credit-based. The Free plan covers limited completions and next-edit suggestions; new accounts get a two-week Pro trial with 300 credits. Paid tiers are Pro at $20/month for 2,000 credits, Pro+ at $60/month for 6,000, and Ultra at $200/month for 20,000, with $20 credit packs available and a fallback to basic models once credits run out. Quest, Repo Wiki and Knowledge Cards are paid-tier features.
