Luma Agents

What it is

Luma Agents is the creative workspace from Luma AI. It replaces the web app that used to be called Dream Machine: the old lumalabs.ai/dream-machine address now redirects to the Luma Agents page. You describe what you want and an agent plans the work and generates images, video, audio and text on a shared canvas. It picks the model for each step, and you can also choose one yourself. The iOS app is still listed on the App Store as "Luma Dream Machine".

Key features

• Agent with two modes. Brainstorm Mode is for working out ideas, campaigns and creative direction without generating any media. Create Mode generates the assets and chooses the models.
• Boards. Work sits on an infinite, zoomable board where you can group, annotate and compare assets. Semantic search finds earlier work from a plain description.
• Luma's own models plus third-party ones. Luma's models are Ray3.2 for video (released June 2026) and Uni-1 for images. Third-party options include Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Seedance, Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2 and ElevenLabs voice, sound-effect and music models.
• Ray3.2 controls. You can place up to 16 keyframes in a clip, generate in HDR and export 16-bit EXR files for post-production. Ray3.2 is also sold as an API.
• Editing. Modify existing images and videos, extend clips, reframe aspect ratios, lip-sync a character to an audio track, and add voiceover, music and captions.
• Consistency and reuse. Master Reference Assets keep characters, products and logos the same across outputs. Luma Skills, added in June 2026, save a workflow so it can be re-run on new inputs.
• Collaboration. Share a canvas by link or email with Viewer or Editor rights. Team plans add shared credits, usage analytics and SSO.

Who it's for

Agencies, brand teams and independent creatives who make campaign assets in many formats: product shots, social video ads, storyboards, trailers and localised versions of a video. It suits people who would rather direct an agent than run each model separately.

Pricing

Luma runs on monthly credit subscriptions. As listed on the pricing page in October 2026:

• Plus: $30/month ($300 billed yearly) for 10,000 credits and commercial use.
• Pro: $90/month ($900 billed yearly) for 40,000 credits and 4x the Luma Agents usage.
• Ultra: $300/month ($3,000 billed yearly) for 150,000 credits and 15x the Luma Agents usage.
• Team and Enterprise: contact sales.

The pricing page does not list a free plan. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle, and credits spent on failed generations are refunded. If you run out, you can set your own spending limit for extra usage. What a generation costs depends on the model and resolution. For example, a 5-second Ray3.2 text-to-video clip costs 100 credits at 720p and 400 credits at 1080p.
