Cluely is a real-time meeting assistant that runs as an overlay on your own machine rather than as a participant in the call. It listens through your microphone and system audio, transcribes continuously, and lets you pull an AI answer into view with a single shortcut (Cmd/Ctrl + Enter) while the conversation is still going.

How it differs from a notetaker bot. Most meeting-AI tools join the call as a visible attendee, which means every participant sees a bot in the roster and the host has to allow it. Cluely never joins: it captures audio locally on the device running the app, so it works the same way in a Zoom call, a Google Meet, a Microsoft Teams or Webex session, a Slack huddle, or an in-person conversation at a table. That also makes it usable in the cases a bot cannot cover at all — a job interview, a lecture hall, a coffee-shop meeting.

Worth knowing before you deploy it. The undetectability tier is the reason Cluely is a divisive product: it is explicitly designed so other people on a call cannot tell it is running. Recording laws vary by jurisdiction and many require all-party consent, and plenty of employers, universities and interview panels have their own policies.
