Description
Beatoven.ai generates original background music and sound effects for videos, podcasts, games, ads, audiobooks and livestreams. You describe the track you need (mood, genre, instruments, length) and its in-house model, Maestro, composes it; a prompt-enhancer and prompt ideas help when you are not sure how to phrase it. A separate text-to-SFX mode works as an AI foley artist for one-off sound effects.
The distinctive part is licensing. Beatoven says Maestro, launched in August 2025, was trained only on licensed music from partners, and it is Fairly Trained certified; contributing artists receive payments based on which licensed works feed each output. Every download comes with a licence emailed to you that lets you monetise the content the music is used in. You do not own the track outright, and direct distribution to streaming services such as Spotify is not allowed, though stems may be used for sampling.
Tracks download as MP3 or WAV. You can pay per track or subscribe for additional download minutes, and an API is available for developers who want to generate music inside their own products. Beatoven reports more than two million creators and over 15 million generated tracks.
