Description

Aside is a desktop browser built by Aside Computer Inc. (a Y Combinator company) around the idea that an agent should work the way you do: inside the sites you are already signed into, rather than through an API integration that has to be built for every service first.

You describe a task in plain language and the browser carries it out across your real accounts — triaging and replying to messages, filling in internal tools, working through documents and spreadsheets, and completing checkout and payment flows. Because it drives the same session you do, it reaches anything behind a login without waiting for an official integration.

What makes it different

Credentials the agent cannot read. Aside Vault is a built-in password manager that signs you in by autofill, so logins are never exposed to the model. Keys are protected by the Secure Enclave with hardware-backed end-to-end encryption, and every credential access is written to an audit log.

Memory from your own browsing. Aside learns from your history, so a task you have explained once does not need re-explaining the next time it comes around.

Approval gates on consequential actions. Payments, posts and outbound messages stop for your confirmation instead of firing automatically.

Local-first. Tasks, memory and data stay on the device, and you can point the browser at your existing ChatGPT or Claude subscription rather than paying twice for inference. Aside reports ranking first on three browser-agent benchmarks.

Pricing

A free tier gives you 500 credits a month, up to three saved routines, the password manager and personalised memory, on your own model subscription. Pro at $20/month adds triple the usage, unlimited routines, Ultrabrowse deep research, remote-control Channels and cloud handoff. Max at $200/month raises usage to 40x the free tier and includes the early-access programme. Enterprise is quoted on request and adds team seats, shared profiles, access controls, managed browser state and the ability to trigger agent runs from cron jobs, internal tools or other apps.

Aside suits people whose work lives in a dozen SaaS tabs — recruiters, operators, founders and support teams — and anyone who wants agent automation without handing a model their passwords.
