Description

Canva's official remote MCP server at https://mcp.canva.com/mcp, the surface behind Canva's AI Connector. It is the design half of an agent's toolkit: where a code-oriented server hands back text, this one produces and modifies actual Canva designs in the user's own workspace.

Canva groups the capabilities it exposes as:

Design generation — create designs from a text description and a spec.
Design editing — apply targeted modifications to an existing design through natural language.
Design discovery — search and retrieve designs, pages and folders from the user's library.
Asset and brand management — upload and organise assets, manage folders, and reach brand kits and templates.
Design export — render to PDF, PNG, JPG, PPTX, MP4 and other formats, and resize a design for a different channel.
Collaborative workflows — leave comments on designs so feedback loops stay inside the same workflow.

It is distinct from the Canva Dev MCP server, which is the documentation server for people writing Canva apps against the Apps SDK. This one operates the product. Canva positions it both for individuals connecting a personal assistant and for IT teams and platform builders offering Canva as a capability inside their own tools; access is OAuth-scoped to the connected account, and Canva publishes separate usage and prohibited-use policies plus documented rate limits for it.
