Moises takes a finished recording apart. Feed it any track — an MP3 you own, a YouTube rip, a voice memo of last night's rehearsal — and its source-separation models return the vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and strings as individual stems you can solo, mute or re-balance. That alone makes it a vocal remover and a backing-track generator, but the separation is really the foundation for everything else the app does.

Once a song is split, Moises annotates it. Chord detection lays bars, beats and synced guitar tabs over the waveform, with beginner, intermediate and advanced voicings. Key and BPM detection let you transpose to any of the twelve keys or slow a passage down without the chipmunk artefacts, which is the single most useful thing a practice tool can do. A smart metronome generates a click locked to the song's actual grid rather than an assumed tempo, and AI lyric transcription writes out the words in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French or Italian. Section detection marks intros, verses and choruses so you can loop the eight bars you keep fluffing instead of scrubbing for them.

It is built for the practice room rather than the mixing desk. Setlists are shared and collaborative, so a band can keep one canonical set of arrangements; a count-in can be dialled in before playback; and finished stems, custom mixes and the click track all export as MP3 or M4A (WAV on desktop) for use in a DAW. Imports come from iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox or a public URL.

The free tier covers vocals, drums and bass separation plus chord detection, metronome, pitch shifting and setlists. Premium unlocks unlimited separations and finer instrument splitting — lead versus rhythm guitar, acoustic versus electric, main versus background vocals. Pro adds hi-fi separation models, per-drum-part stems, uploads up to 180 minutes, the Voice Studio and VST plugins for use inside a DAW. Moises Systems ships iOS, Android and web clients; the iPad app was Apple's iPad App of the Year in 2024.
