Lenses instead of one fixed summary
A lens is a way of looking at a recording. The same conversation can be a full transcript for the record, a one-minute summary for yourself, and a checklist of who promised what for the team, without listening to it twice. Transcription, summary and actions ship built in; you can write your own lens with your own prompt and share it so others can install it with a tap. Only the lens definition travels — recordings stay put. There is a lens marketplace for ready-made ones such as standup minutes, interview quotes, decision logs, lecture notes, 1:1 notes and retro boards.
Speaker names and searchable archive
Every line is attributed, so you can search and quote by who spoke rather than scrubbing audio. The archive is queryable across recordings.
Your phone as the field recorder
yapyap Go turns the phone you already own into a standalone recorder for the interview you walked into without a laptop. Pair once; the take syncs to your computer over your own wifi when you get back, and transcription and write-ups happen there. No pendant or clip-on gadget to buy.
Offline, multilingual, and yours
Everything works without a connection, which is the point of the design. Around 100 languages are supported, including English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Dutch, Chinese, Arabic, Portuguese and Hindi. If you would rather use a hosted model, you can optionally bring your own key for OpenAI, Anthropic or Groq.
