Glaze is Raycast's take on building software by conversation. Describe the Mac app you want in plain language and an AI agent writes and assembles a genuine native application that lives on your machine.

Native, not a browser tab

This is the distinction Glaze draws against browser-based app builders: the result launches instantly, runs offline with no server behind it, and gets real operating-system access — file system, global keyboard shortcuts, menu bar presence, background processes, and native Calendar, Contacts, and Reminders APIs. You own the app, its code, and its content.

Keep iterating in chat

Add features, fix bugs, and refine the interface by continuing the conversation. An editable, reorderable agent queue lets you line up changes, a visual inspector maps UI elements back to the code behind them, and technical users can drop into the generated source at any point. The agent can also scaffold MCP servers inside the apps it builds.

Apps that can think

Glaze AI lets the apps you build use text generation, streaming, image understanding, and image generation without shipping any API keys. Calls draw on the end user's own Glaze credits behind a permission prompt and a daily cap, revocable in settings.

Share or publish

Finished apps stay on-device by default. You can send one to anyone who has Glaze installed — the recipient does not need a subscription — publish it to the public store, share it unlisted on Pro, or distribute it through a private team store.

Requirements and pricing

Requires macOS Tahoe on Apple Silicon; Windows and Linux are planned. Free accounts get a one-time welcome pack of 120 credits and can browse, install, and run store apps at no cost. Pro is $25 per month for 200 monthly credits plus unlisted publishing, and Team is $35 per seat per month with a private team store and centralized billing. Credits meter agent turns rather than time. Glaze entered private beta in March 2026 and opened to the public on July 1, 2026.
